1.17. Candy Land

This case leads Dan and Zoe to a winter resort. Taking advantage of free lodging, Zoe takes the kids with her. When she comes across her old Vegas friend Candy, the joy is short-lived. The vivacious party-girl has a growing influence on the kids and Dan. And having Marcos nearby doesn't help Zoe feel less jealous when she hears that Candy spent the night with Dan.

Meanwhile Taylor finds out that her boyfriend Ryder moved back to his hometown without telling her.

 

1.18 Queen Bea

Queenie Bea, the host of a popular TV show, is being blackmailed and Zoe and Dan have 48 hours to solve the case. Candy, who followed Dan to Chicago, finds out about his feelings for Zoe. As a consequence, the two break up and she goes back to Vegas. Accepting Candy’s advice, Dan lets Zoe know about his feelings for her. But instead of telling her, he kisses Zoe shortly before she meets Marcos. At dinner, Zoe tries to tell Marcos about the kiss, but just when she starts she finds an engagement ring in her champagne glass.

Taylor follows Ryder to Colombus only to realize that he has hooked up again with his ex-girlfriend.

Art Hindle (Earl) also appeared in KFTLC's episode "Brotherhood of the Bell" as Peter's Uncle Martin and in The Waiting Game as Uncle Low.
