Raymond Sayer, professional player of the NBA and Dan's sport idol, wakes up after a wild party to find a murdered woman in his bed. He fears to be arrested and runs from the scene, only to be filmed by a sports reporter. Raymont's agent hires M's company to prove the innocence of her client in the murder investigation. It doesn't take long to find more suspects. But the case takes a surprising twist when Dan and Zoe uncover an extortion ring that's targeting some of the NBA's finest athletes.
Though M objects, Zoe adds a pro-bono case to her already full schedule when a man comes to the office and asks her to help him figure out his identity. There aren't any clues, but he believes his name is Brad Pitt. After several attempted murders Zoe and Dan finally get a lead to "Brad's" fiancee Rosie. But instead of telling them the real name the bubbly woman accuses Zoe to have an affair with her lover. It takes all of Zoe and Dan's persuasiveness to convince her otherwise and get to know who hired the hitman. Meanwhile M tries to earn some additional money by renting out officerooms to a stranger.
A psychic who channels the voice of a dead medical researcher asks Zoe and Dan to help her solve the murder.
