The young and the restless is one of the oldest and most successful US soap operas. Since 1973 the show tells the story of the Abbotts, who live in the fictive town of Genoa City and are as beautiful as wealthy.

Beginning with episode 8637 Chris Potter will play Evan Owens, an old friend of Gloria Abbott. Gloria is the conniving widow of the late John Abbott. A short time before his death John changed his last will and Gloria missed out the family wealth. Ever since then she's up to every trick to gain some fortune.
